My story starts from when I was very young...about eight or nine years of age. I was very thrilled by the process of making films, and always thought it would be cool to try. I was constantly writing (really bad) scripts in Word with my sister, and actually started filming a couple (very) cringey short films. It wasn't until about two years ago, when through the influence of the people around me, especially my Uncle, I decided that I was going to pursue a creative career in filmmaking. I started learning and I have never stopped. Since then, I have worked on a decent amount of projects, both on a small and larger scale.
My name is Jordan Ramitt. I have been a student filmmaker/ photographer for two years now, and am currently based out of the Mississauga (GTA) area of Canada. I am constantly challenging my skills and abilities in order to perfect my craft. I thoroughly enjoy the creative process behind filmmaking and photography.
I strongly believe that stories are what filmmaking is all about. It has absolutely nothing to do with gear, equipment or any of that. It is purely a visual way of telling a story. I want to change the way a film impacts an audience. Differing from modern 'Hollywood' movies, I want my films to be remembered for their stories because that is the main reason for visual storytelling.
My name is Jordan Ramitt, an aspiring filmmaker/photographer and I want to impact the world with creativity.
